The monograph covers the design of high-rise buildings and facilities under construction in seismic regions. The experience of normative requirement developments for earthquake-resistant high-rise buildings design and construction in countries exposed to intense seismic vibrations (the USA, Canada, Japan, Chile, Europe, UAE and others) is analyzed. The rules to design the earthquake-resistant buildings are given in accordance with the recommendations of Eurocode 8 and requirements of state standards of Ukraine: DBN B.1.1-12: 2014 “Construction in seismic regions of Ukraine”.
