State Research Institute of Building Constructions (NIISK) systematically take renders scientific-technical assistance for construction and design organizations on construction, operation and reconstruction of buildings and structures in Ukraine and CIS regions.

Some examples of them are following: museum of history of Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, "Budynok Khudozhnyka", "Budynok Torgivli", republican race track, department store "Dytyachyi Svit", bus garage 160m in diameter; production building of plant "Arsenal"; plants: petroleum refinery in Groznyi and at Odessa port; "Bilshovyk", "Chervonyi Ekskavator", "Budshlyakhmash", industrial complex of household chemical goods, felt factory, paper-cardboard industrial complex, production buildings of factory "Specodyag" and plant "Orion" in Kyiv, linen industrial complexes in Donetsk and Tyraspol in Moldova, objects in Uzbekistan³ and Azerbaijan; construction of housing blocks in cities Zaporizhya, Dnipropetrovsk and others, funicular stations; reconstruction of buildings of National Bank of Ukraine, T. G. Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine, National Philharmonic Society, reconstruction of Zolotoverhyi Mykhailyvskyi monastery, Uspenskyi cathedral, building of Odessa academic theatre of opera and ballet; scientific-expert support of ChNPP "Shelter" Object operation and work performance for its transformation into an ecologically safe system and many others.

NIISK was determined by Decree of the board of Derzhatomnaglyad (#29 dated 11/17/1993) as an expert organization in nuclear energy on the following issues: strength, deformability, assessment of condition of basements, foundations and building structures; observation, testing and monitoring of building structures quality including their certification; automatic monitoring systems.

NIISK is a representative of Ukraine in the International federation for reinforced concrete fib (desicion of the Scientific Technical Council of Derzhbud of Ukraine dated 4 November 1998 #59).

Last year the institute entered the International organization on soil mechinics and engineering geology and participated in the conference concerning these issues in Prague.

The Institute is a basic organization of the section "Reinforced concrete structures and hydrotechnical constructions" of Scientific-coordination and expert council on the issues of resource and safety operation of structures, constructions and machinery at Presidium of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences. The Interindustry coordination scientific-technical council on the issues of construction and protection of buildings, structures, territories in severe engineering-geological and seismic conditions of Ukraine was created at the institute by the order #90 of Derzhbud of Ukraine dated 28 April 1998.

The institute is a founder of All Ukrainian Public organization "Ukrainian society of soil mechanics, geotechnics and foundation construction (USSMGFC)", co-founder of Public organization "Association of Ukrainian Seismic Engineering".
