Activity of institute in this direction concentrated on providing as acoustic design of rooms of buildings in the correspondence with functional requirements and acoustic properties of the environment.

This is carried out thanking the following conditions:
* developments of criterions of valuations of levels rustled from sources of noise, acoustic properties of materials and building constructions, and also parameters of an acoustic climate in locations and from the outside of locations;
* creation of bases for installation of an acoustic climate in public and industrial buildings, and also in an environment;
* creation of specifications for production, items and constructions that answer acoustic norms, and also equipment and installations;
* guard from unfavorable influences of an environment in buildings and behind their limits.
