Scientific and technical support of design and construction is performed at realization of solutions on underground parts of structures, construction of buildings with above permitted parameters in seismic areas, potential technical problems of buildings bases and etc.

DBN “Scientific and technical support of building objects” as perspective and operative mechanism of normative base determining the technical level of construction was developed on the initiative and leading participation of the institute.


The scientific and technical support of construction includes the following:

  • performance of verified and doubled calculations of structures and object stress-strain state;
  • development and approbation of constructive and / or technological solutions;
  • object examination, monitoring and diagnosis;
  • structure materials quality control and etc.

The main achievements of scientific and technical support introduction include the following works:

  • preparation of objects of different complexity and purpose for “Euro-2012”;
  • construction in seismic areas of Crimea, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhgorod, Odesa and other cities;
  • scientific and technical support of Chernobyl NPP during the preparation of design and work documentation for “Shelter” Object New Safe Confinement construction.

The report “Scientific and technical support as a tool of building objects safe” prepared by the institute on November, 2010 was presented at XXX meeting of Intergovernmental Council on cooperation of countries-members in construction industry and was recommended to use by other CIS countries.
