Engineering facilities and buildings safety and reliability are priority practically in all scientific-technical works of the institute. At level of research works the high buildings, NPP objects and other responsible and technically complex construction objects safe and reliability problems are solved by introduction of measures against “progressive destruction”.

The institute performs the following works in direction of “Buildings and facilities safe and reliability”:

• assessment of residential, public and industrial buildings technical state at stages of construction and operation;
• geological research determining the base soil characteristics and calculating the structures;

• preparation of conclusions on possibility to reconstruct the buildings with storey superstructure and recommendations on bearing structures strengthening are given;
• scientific and technical support during the reconstruction works on construction objects.

Considering the experience on elimination of accidence situation consequences the SE NDIBK developed the recommendations for the preparation and performance of works on elimination of accidence onsequences.
