Institute (as basic organization on issues of aseismic construction) is participating in development of the Regional programs on protection of population, building and facilities for seismic danger (for AR Crimea, Sebastopol city). Institute is carrying out the scientific support for designing of the residential dwellings and public buildings in regions with increased seismicity. Institute is designing the new structural solutions for aseismic buildings with dynamic tests of construction products.
The following works are carrying out in Institute in frames on direction «Seismic stability of buildings and facilities»:
building structures, buildings and facilities for seismic dangerous regions and when influence of dynamic loads;- Construction mechanics for buildings when seismic influences including complex engineer-geological conditions.
Implementation of the listed below scientific works is the basic task for Institute in field of aseismic construction:
- development of the drafts of the normative and legal documents and implementation of the seismic micro-zoning of the territories with settlements, building sites, important and potentially dangerous objects;
- development of the kind DSTU-N standards in elaboration of provisions of DBN V.1.1-12:2006 «Construction in seismic regions of Ukraine»;
- inspection and certification of the buildings with assessment of their seismic stability.
Institute implements the scientific support of DBN V.1.1-12:2006 «Construction in the seismic regions of Ukraine. That DBN is a basis for safety of the objects and structures on seismic dangerous territories. Institute is organizing the seminars for upgrading of qualification of the design and construction organizations specialists on the issues of aseismic construction in Ukraine.
The following NIISK’s structural Departments are implementing the scientific support for the buildings and facilities designing and construction:
- Department of researches automation and seismic stability of the buildings and facilities;
- Structures safety Department;
- Department of bases and foundations and protection of territories, buildings and facilities against deformations under complex engineer-geological conditions.
