Conference “Public dialogue between government, business and society: “Energy efficiency and renewable energy are the keys to the power and economic prosperity of Ukraine”
On November 8, 2017 the Conference "Public dialogue between government, business and society: "Energy efficiency and renewable energy are the keys to the power and economic prosperity of Ukraine" was held in Kyiv within the framework of the 7th Specialized International Trade Fair "EuroBuildExpo ’2017".
The program of the 7th Specialized International Trade Fair "EuroBuildExpo ’2017" envisaged the Conference in a form of a panel discussion "Public dialogue between government, business and society: "Energy efficiency and renewable energy are the keys to the power and economic prosperity of Ukraine".
The Conference was organized by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and the State Enterprise "State Research Institute of Building Constructions".
The discussion was moderated by:
Rotov O., Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, and Farenuyk G., Director of the SE NIISK, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
The Conference participants included the representatives of higher education institutions (Kharkov National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University), the representatives of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, the Institute for Renewable Energy of the NAS of Ukraine, local self-government bodies (city councils of Starokostiantyniv and Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council), non-governmental organizations (the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, the public association «Energy Service Union of Ukraine»), business executives from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, as well as Zaporizhia and Dnipro cities, experts etc.
O.Riabova, the Director of the Department of Construction Objects Designing, Technical Regulation and Scientific Technical Development of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, opened the discussion with a speech “State policy in the field of energy performance of buildings”.
Gennadiy Farenuyk, the Director of SE NIISK, Doctor of Technical Sciences, presented the key lecture “Main directions of energy performance improvement in residential and public buildings”.
The informative reports “Energy-efficient technologies developed at the Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University” and “Apartment Decentralization with the Preservation of Existing Heat Sources” were also made by O.Sehai, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University and V.Buhai, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Kharkov National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, respectively.
During the discussion each conference participant had a possibility for active debating the actual issues of energy performance, energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy.
